Last weekend (26-27 May) 7 of our students competed in the Queensland Karate Association (QKA) Winter Invitational Tournament. Most of these students are preparing to represent Queensland at the upcoming National Karate Championships, run by the Australian Karate Federation (AKF) in August this year.

Congratulations to all of our competitors they did exceptionally well in both the kata and kumite events, with some great results to show for the hard work and dedication to their competition training in addition to their regular karate training.

Special mention to Jakob who faced his fears and took the leap into his first QKA competition in both individual and team kata.
