Booking a 4 Week Trial

Booking an introduction and first lesson can be made through our website or by contacting the school. We will follow up with a booking confirmation and reminder message. We may also follow up if bookings are missed, and add you to our mailing list for future information.

We provide an introduction to our Karate School and Services at your first visit.

Students participating in the 4 Week Trial are required to make payment prior to commencing their first class. We try to maintain all uniform sizes in stock, but to occasional run short due to high demand periods. Your uniform will be provided to you as soon as possible in these circumstances.

Students and parents that would like to see our classes prior to starting a 4 Week Trial are welcome to watch the classes from our parents viewing area before committing to do the 4 Week Trial.

Becoming a Kansai Karate Member

During the last week of your 4 Week Trial you will be sent details about upgrading to our Full Student Membership. Membership fees are due upon completion of the 4 Week trial and renewed annually every June. Membership fees are non refundable.

Cancellations

Students are required to provide 30 days notice to cancel membership and direct debit fee payments. Cancellations must be notified in writing and emailed to info@kansaikarategoldcoast.com.au

Students paying 3 Month Cash Advance Fees should note that fees can be suspended, but refunds are not provided for fees already paid.

Kansai Karate Gold Coast reserves the right to cancel student membership for failure to comply with Kansai Karate Rules of Operation (Dojo Rules) or Fee Payment policies listed above.

Fees

Fees are paid in advance on a fortnightly basis by direct debit with our third party provider – Stripe. We require 30 days notice to cancel fees. Fees as nominated on our fee sheet do not include Stripe’s processing fees, setup or other money collection fees charged by the third party.

Bronze fee members may attend 1 class per week, make up classes can be done following a week where the student did not attend. We do not credit fees for classes not attended. 

Silver & Gold Fee members pay for 2 classes per week, and are able to attend as many classes as they like each week. Any classes missed can be made up in the following weeks. We do not credit fees for classes not attended.  

All karate and kickboxing classes offered in addition to the 2 paid for classes are complimentary and are not credited if not used.

Should students elect to make cash payments in lieu of direct debit, fees are paid 3 months in advanced, no refunds are given on cash advance payments. The same terms for class attendance apply as noted above for direct debit fee payments.

The above also applies for our Legacy third party direct debit provider – Paysmart.

Students can elect to pay Cash in Advance in lieu of direct debit fees. Cash Advanced payments are invoiced for a lump sum 13 week period, 4 times a year. Cash Advanced fees are non refundable.

Fee Suspensions

Direct Debit or Cash Advance Fees can be suspended for a defined period of time on the following basis:

  • Overseas Travel for 4 Weeks or more – proof of travel documents required
  • Injury or Illness in excess of 2 Week – medical certificate required

Medical Conditions / Injuries

As noted on the membership agreement can you please keep us informed of any medical conditions or injuries that might impact the students karate training, we are happy to work with you to develop a training methodology around your needs, and suspend training fees when injury prevents you from attending class.

Consent for Photos

Also noted on the membership form is permission for Kansai Karate to use photos of our students for promotional purposes, Facebook and the like. If you have any concerns about this please come and speak with me privately.

Dojo Rules

All visitors to the dojo are required to follow the dojo rules for the safety of all patrons and staff. Rules can be downloaded here – https://kansaikarategoldcoast.com.au/dojo-rules/

Kickboxing Trial

Booking an 5 Class Pass can be made through our website or by contacting the school. We will follow up with a booking confirmation and reminder message. We may also follow up if bookings are missed, and add you to our mailing list for future information.

We provide an introduction to our Karate School and Services at your first visit.

Students are required to make payment prior to commencing their first class. We try to maintain boxing gloves in stock, but to occasional run short due to high demand periods. Your equipment will be provided to you as soon as possible in these circumstances.

Students that would like to see our classes prior to starting are welcome to watch the classes from our parents viewing area before committing to join a class.

Kickboxing Passes

10 Class Passes can be used at our Upper Coomera Location. Passes have no expiration. Passes are transferable. Passes are non refundable.

Kickboxing Membership

Membership fees are due upon completion of the 5 Class Pass and renewed annually every June. Membership fees are non refundable.
